What does phone insurance cover?
It does not cover everything that happens to a telephone, however it covers most accidental things that occur to a telephone. All the above mentioned described scenarios it would cover, but if they suspect the damage was done purposely or maliciously, it won't be covered. A lost or stolen mobile phone is also covered, and most insurance providers possess a service to track down the lost or stolen phone to help retain information. Accessories that were added to the phone, just like a screen cover, case or charger won't be covered, but those usually cost peanuts compared to the actual phone. Whenever a phone no longer works, what do I do?
One thing to do is try to obtain the phone working on your own. Sometimes simply taking out the battery after which putting it in receives a phone working again. If not, call customer service or email and let them know concerning the malfunction. They'll provide a return number so you can return the telephone with the mail. Once they have the phone at hand, they will change it. Most of the time, the replacement is a certified repair, which is another phone that did not work and was returned. These have no scratches or cracks and fall under the same warranty as the original. However, the warranty could be limited, either by adding a deductible, or placing a ceiling on the replacement phone.
How much does phone insurance cost?
